Regarding the coronavirus situation in Croatia we would like to inform you that at the moment in Croatia there are 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 19, 27, 36, 49, 56 people that are infected by that virus. All of them have mild symptoms of the disease and their condition is good according to the news given by Croatian minister of health. He also said that situation is under control (https://zdravlje.gov.hr/). All institutions, schools, faculties and other facilities are working normally, and there are no special measures that have to be implemented at the moment.
The organisers are not planning to cancel the conference. The conference will be cancelled only if a global pandemic is declared and if we are forced by Croatian government and/or Croatian ministry of health. The region in which the conference will be held – Dalmatia is not affected by the virus. Those infected by the virus are from the cities Rijeka, Zagreb and Varaždin.
From March 9th, 2020 the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia introduced new preventive measures:
- All foreign citizens entering Croatia from the foci of infection, especially from parts of China, Italy, South Korea, etc., will be informed about the mandatory quarantine accommodation for 14 days, before entering Croatia.
- It is recommended to postpone all organized events with more than 1000 participants. All those who will hold them are obliged to ensure high standards of hygiene.

At the moment around 250 participants have registered for the INGEO&SIG2020 conference. According to the recommendation at the moment the conference will not be postponed.
The organisers are monitoring the situation and will take final decision regarding the holding of a conference on March 20th, 2020.
